Evan Worden

M.S. Student

Evan graduated with a B.S. in Marine Biology and minor in Environmental Science from the University of South Florida, and is currently pursuing his Masters in at FIU. While at USF, he was very active in student research and community engagement. He has interned in the Kramer Ecology Lab where they studied micro evolution in zooplankton, as well as completed a Summer REU internship with Mote Marine Labs, where he researched and tested a closed loop snook mariculture system. He is now investigating the importance of shallow water sponges in filtering potentially harmful microbes, and wants to continue researching marine community ecology and how it changes under human stressors.
